Julie L. Piper, MS LMFT

Julie Piper is a Colorado native who has lived and worked in the Pikes Peak region for over 45 years. Julie’s work career includes the banking and finance industry, nonprofit executive management, and now behavioral health. Each course in her career has brought unique insights into assessing her clients’ needs and finding the best pathway for each individual and each family.

Julie has worked extensively with couples and families, including both active-duty and veteran families and individuals. Julie is experienced in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).

We all have a story, and sometimes our stories might sound the same. But each story and how one navigates through life’s circumstances is unique to each individual/each family. Julie’s perspective in helping people is to value each person’s unique story as significant and to provide comprehensive solutions that can be applied in everyday life.

Dale A. Piper, Psy.D.

Life can sometimes be hard. For many of us there are also challenges to face and difficulties to overcome. If you are in a bad season of life, it may be time to seek assistance to address recurrent or seemingly impossible problems that you face. You may have tried to fix things on your own, or even reached out to family, friends, or others you know without finding much relief. I can provide you with a brief telephone consultation to discuss your concerns or schedule a time to meet with you. I also supervise counselors, so we have a group of therapists to address your particular concerns or needs.

I am a seasoned therapist who can provide you with practical understanding and assistance. I can often help sort out difficult or complex psychological problems and assist clients in prioritizing the issues they want to address. I work with children and families, as well as individual adult issues.

I integrate a variety of different methods and perspectives based on the presenting needs and concerns of individual clients. Many of the people I work with have had negative life experiences and/or trauma. I approach people with gentleness and empathy. I can help integrate spirituality and a spiritual perspective into the therapy if one desires.

This versatility allows me to tailor my clinical interventions to the unique circumstances of each client. With specialized training in working with diverse family dynamics and individual stressors, I am dedicated to helping you achieve your goals—whether that involves embracing your authentic self, fostering deeper intimacy with a partner, or strengthening familial connections.

Taking the first step toward change can be daunting, but you do not have to navigate this journey alone. I invite you to schedule a consultation or explore my services to begin your path toward healing.
